Control4 has announced the availablitiy of their new dock for Apple's ubiquitous iPod family. While the Control4 system has always been able to use the iPod as an extra hard drive, and there have been many iterations of iPod dock that provide an excellant on screen interface, integrating an iPod into your whole home media system has never been this easy, or this affordable. The new Control4 iPod Dock plays both audio and video, while at the same time allowing all the iPods media and playlists to be displayed on any touchscreen, keypad, or Control4 on-screen display. The dock connects to your home network to allow playback anywhere in the house from a single location. You can even add multipe docks to your home so the kids can plug theirs in, and you can still use yours in the den! The dock is available now so give us a call. Control4 has released the new 1.6 version of software for their home control system. The ability to search a huge library, along with the ability to mark music and playlists as part of your own library make listening to your favorite music easier than ever, and keeps all your favorites at your fingertips. Rhapsody also allows you to search, listen and create playlists on your computer as well and allows access to those lists from the Control4 interface for additional ease in library management.
In addition to of Rhapsody, the new software has redone the multiroom audio interface to the system, replacing the slightly comfusing 'Streams' interface with a more straight-forward interface that allows the music an any room to be added or removed, while also giving control to volume levels in all those other zones in a much more straight forward manner.
New devices supported in the new software include new 7" touchpanels, both in-wall and portable as well as

Control4 has awarded audiodyne with one of its ProTest awards. This is an award we are particularily excited about as it represents something a little different in the industry-- it's not an award for the most zones, or the biggest TV, or the most tie-wraps or that sort of thing, it's an award that represents, in Control4's words, an installation that represents the best in making peoples lives "Everyday Easy" |
